TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) is the global leader in education and training for the responsible service, sale, and consumption of alcohol. Proven effective by third-party studies, TIPS is a skills-based training program designed to prevent intoxication, underage drinking, and drunk driving.

TIPS alcohol training is a crucial part of a responsible alcohol-serving culture, and it is important for all employees working in establishments where alcohol is sold or served to complete this training program. TIPS helps employees to understand the laws and policies surrounding the sale of alcohol, recognize signs of customer intoxication, and avoid serving customers who are excessively drunk, leading to negative consequences such as alcohol-related accidents, driving under the influence, and physical altercations. In addition, TIPS training emphasizes the importance of customer service and satisfaction, demonstrating how to provide customers with excellent service while ensuring responsible alcohol serving. The training helps employees identify different drinking patterns among customers, assess how to respond in various scenarios, and provide guidance on handling situations where customers are showing signs of intoxication.

Upon completing the training, employees will understand their roles in promoting a safe, healthy, and enjoyable environment for all patrons while protecting themselves and their establishment from potential legal and financial consequences associated with the over-service of alcohol and serving patrons who are not of legal age to consume alcohol.

TIPS On-Premise Training: "On-Premise" refers to establishments where alcohol is being consumed on the premises/property, such as wineries, bars, and restaurants.
