Trunk-or-Treat

Each year, the Lower Township Healthy Youth Coalition partners with the township, Delaware Bay Authority (Cape May Ferry), and many businesses, organizations, and volunteers to host a safe and fun trick-or-treating experience for the youths of Cape May County.

The event includes things to do for all ages. The coalition is always looking for volunteers to decorate their cars and give out treats at the event or just donate candy.  Each year, the event has drawn over 500 youths.

Sticker Shock

Each year, the Lower Township Healthy Youth Coalition members, participating stores and their employees, and youth volunteers partake in the Sticker Shock campaign. The Sticker Shock campaign aims to raise public awareness about the minimum drinking age law by placing stickers on multi-packs of beer and wine coolers. The sticker reads: “Think Twice! It’s not your call. It’s the law,” reminding adults that it is illegal to purchase alcohol for anyone under 21.

If you are a liquor sales establishment and are interested in being a part of the Sticker Shock campaign, please contact us.

Annual Youth Celebration Breakfast

A day where the Lower Township Healthy Youth Coalition celebrates our Youth Alliance members and let them shine for their hard work. The event honors and supports youth who have shown positive improvement in the areas of academics, attendance, community involvement, and overall behavior.

Lower Township Police Camp

The coalition partners with the Lower Township Police Department to provide a fun-filled week building relationships with the local police. The camp is designed to foster a positive and healthy interaction between police officers and the children in our community. Young people attending the camp will focus on building self-esteem, teamwork, good decision-making, communication skills and other educational lessons focused on life skills.
